Consumer Virtual Cards

Virtual cards are a flexible and pure digital way to power consumer applications with experiences that involve making payments:

Virtual cards are created via API and the card details delivered securely to any consumer device. The card can then be used in the usual way to make payments at an online checkout.

Create seamless purchasing experiences such as enabling parents to pay for their kids’ game credits, or for the purchasing of goods featured in a TV programme via the TV set-top box.

Virtual cards can also be used to initiate and collect remittances via new services offered by the card schemes – Visa Direct and Mastercard Send, enabling a whole range of new applications.

Use consumer payments for

  • Parent-supervised online spending

Create a way for parents to give their children supervised, restricted and safe access to online spending. You can embed this into rich experiences such as rewards for chores or performance at school.
  • Managing subscription payments

Track subscription expiry and only load the registered card if the customer confirms their wish to renew.
  • Payments-enabled wearables

Enable wearable payments devices such as bracelets, badges, etc. to be used at contactless points of sale.
  • Marketplace purchases

Power up mobile, web or even smart TV apps to make purchases on behalf of the customer at participating (card-accepting) merchants
  • Group buying / Group payment

Group buying / Group payment applications where funds are collected from members of a group and then spent on a purpose such as a skiing trip or a stag party.

Adaptive and scalable
